Štepán Pala

Štěpán Pala is now devoting his attention to pursuing a programme to which he has given the preliminary title: “infinity”. He already considered this problem long ago. It first found embodiment in spiral glass objects, which he began to create a few years ago. Their essence is the mathematical module of the so-called Moebius strip, already exploited a number of times by visual artists, for example, by the famous representative of Concrete art Max Bill. However, in this case, it is not a matter of a flat form. Štěpán Pala has given it spatial development. Its profile changes from every point of view, with flowing dynamics and rhythm. Mathematics and geometry, poetry and play are the main constants of his recent creative work.
