ARTIST

Maki Imoto

What I place particular emphasis on in my work is the materiality and the tactile perception that comes from it. The movement of substances that the body receives tactilely on the skin, fingertips, internal organs, and back teeth. I think that this perception is the point of contact that connects people and materials, and connects existence and meaning.
