Born in 1990 in Beijing, China, he now lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing from 2009 to 2013, and has studied under Stephan Baumkotter and Martina Klein at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bremen since 2014. He graduated with a degree in Diplom in Bremen in 2017 and has since entered a master class with Stephan Baumkotter and received a degree in Meisterschuler in 2018.

Yu Linhan takes painting as the core of his creation, and his media covers wallpaper, wall painting, photography and installation. In terms of content, his works combine rational and perceptual thinking, seeking for the contingency of painting in the seemingly meticulous rules of painting. In addition to hand-painting, he also combines 3D modeling technology and 2D manual screen printing technology, through which he can reduce his control over the picture.
